På sätt och vis är det ju en intressant bok i och med att den plockar in och tar upp hela grejen med hur vi faktiskt lever i idag med konstant uppkoppling och tillgång till internet(mail/facebook och liknande). Jag har inte läst enormt många böcker där det har en tydlig roll i karaktärers liv, på detta sättet(även möjligt att jag bara inte kommer ihåg det!). 

Men annars är det en medioker bok. Inte direkt fantastisk. Fick en tvåa på Goodreads av mig. Det är lite "whatever"-känsla från min del. Läst det, läst det inte. Ditt val. Det finns bättre böcker.

Jag tyckte att den var ganska seg i början och generellt inte alls på samma nivå som de första böckerna i Lux-serien. Det blev visserligen lite mer intressant på slutet men jag vet faktiskt inte om jag ens kommer att läsa vidare på den här serien. Det var inte jätteinspirerande läsning. Tyvärr.

Precis som Carmacks andra böcker, så är det generellt trevlig, relativt lätt och rolig läsning. Texas och football är ju alltid roligt. Inte den mest minnesvärda boken, men är helt klart mer belägen att läsa fortsättningen här än av The Dark Elements! 

Losing It #3: Finding It - Cora Carmack

Jag är glatt överraskad över att jag tycker att den här var så pass bra (som jag tycker att den är!). Många av dagens New-Adult böcker har ibland inte en så stark/tillräckligt bra handling men det tycker jag att Cormacks böcker har. Det finns liksom kött på benen som skapar/gör karaktärerna och situationen samtidigt som det är lite make-believe över det hela. Men jag gillar det. 

Tar även upp ämnen som abuse och alkoholism så det är inte bara frid och fröjd. Allt som allt en ganska typisk new-adult bok men en bra sådan!

Alla böckerna utspelar sig i samma värld, även den tredje boken i serien, Finding It, gör det. På ett eller annat sätt är de kopplade till varandra.

Detta är bra lättsamma new-adult böcker. Romantiska, roliga och underhållande. Bra blandning. Det finns egentligen inte så mycket mer att säga. Dock är de bland de bättre new-adult böckerna jag har läst men de är samtidigt bara två böcker i mängden. De är ju inte extraordinary direkt men jag gillar berättelserna och sättet de är berättade på.

Det här är sådana böcker som man läser på en natt och kan göra det flera gånger. Inte för att man hittar nya budskap eller någonting för varje läsning utan snarare för att det är bra underhållning och tidsfördriv.

Ska själv även ta tag i och läsa den sista boken i serien med!

Slammed #1 - Colleen Hoover

Samma tankar är som med Beautiful Disaster och Walking Disaster. En bra bok, bra story och bra karaktärer som jag gillar och känner för men jag tycker inte att det är mästerverk eller de bästa böckerna ja någonsin läst. Någon gång i framtiden kommer jag antagligen att läsa fortsättningen med men det är inte så att jag skulle dö om jag inte läser de samma dag som de släpps.

Läser man en bok som Paper Towns eller The Fault in Our Stars, som också handlar om tonåringar som har problem och kämpar i sina liv så är de berättelserna så mycket bättre än det här. Det är berättelser som berör en men jag tror inte att den här kommer att stanna hos mig särskilt länge. Dock var det en bra läsning. Bra bok men det är allt. Tyvärr.

Okej. Jag var aningen tveksam till den här innan jag läste dem. Jag förstår liksom inte direkt poängen med att berätta exakt samma story igen fast ur Travis perspektiv. Ja visst man får ett annat perspektiv på det hela och det ger en annan helhet men det var som att läsa samma bok två gånger och det kändes aningen onödigt. 

Jag hade hellre sett en fortsättning av seriens ur Travis perspektiv. Men samtidigt vet jag inte om det hade tillfört så mycket mer heller till storyn och deras liv. Men skit samma. Jag gillar storyn, boken och karaktärerna så varför inte?! Det ger som sagt ett annat perspektiv på det som händer i Beautiful Disaster men ibland blir det lite tjatigt då man redan vet vad som kommer att hända! 

Unravel Me - Kendall Ryan

Samma kommentar gäller väl här som för Hard to Love; en bok som man läser för att man vill läsa någonting som kanske inte betyder så mycket men är ändå helt okej.

Jag vet inte riktigt vad jag ska säga om den här boken faktiskt. Det är väldigt lättlästa böcker som man plöjer igenom när man behöver läsa någonting. Jag tycker inte att de säger eller betyder någonting. Alls. Det är läsning och en story men inget mer. 

Dock har jag ändå läsa typ alla Kendall Ryans böcker så det säger ju också något. Bra skrivna och underhållande. Så varför inte!

Jag har fastnat i ett träsk av medelmåttiga lättlästa e-böcker. Det är en sjukdom. Det är bara så enkelt att browsa runt på goodreads efter böcker och sedan leta upp dem i iBookstore. Så enkelt. För enkelt.

Jag letar inte in mig på böcker som brott och straff eller liknande (allt för krävande) utan min drog är new-adult/chick-lit/feel-good böcker. Det är inte de största litterära verken men de är fortfarande bra och underhållande att läsa.

Beautiful Disaster är en som de böckerna som påbörjade mitt nuvarande beroende av e-böcker och även ledde in mig på det mer specifika området med "romantiska" idrotts/sport böcker(vilket jag kommer att återkomma till vid ett annat tillfälle!).

Det är en bra rolig underhållande berättelse. Jag gillar den. Det är typ som bra fanfiction fast man måste betala för den. Men absolut läsvärt!

Ps. Den finns nog som vanlig bok också om man vill läsa det med, det är bara jag som fick tag i dem som e-böcker!

Antagligen (möjligen) förstår ni vart det här är på väg.... yup. 

På ganska många avseenden är When Summer Ends lik Losing it av Cora Carmack. Hela den här student-teacher thing. Dock tycker jag att den är lite bättre. För att den hade/har mer. En bättre mer underhållande, rolig, trevlig, söt story. 

Jag tycker dock att den kan ha varit aningen lång. Ett tag gick det ganska segt framåt. Men braigheten vägde upp för det.

New-adult fiction.

Me Like!

Ett problem som jag ser med YA-litteratur är att författare anser att ungdomar i vissa åldrar inte ska göra vissa saker och agera på vissa sätt m.m. Därför har de inte med det i böckerna. Det vanligaste/tydligaste är sex. Framförallt i contemporary YA-fiction. Jag är aningen fördomsfull här, detta gäller ju självklart inte alla böcker men till viss del tycker jag att det är så här. Men jag tycker att det är bra att man nu skapar en genre som kan ta upp dessa ämnen, som YA kanske inte gör lika mycket!

Med det sagt vill jag också säga att det inte är någon Fifty Shades bok med massor av sex. Utan det handlar om karaktärerna, dessa personer, och att de möts/träffas och så utspelar sig hela den här storyn liksom. 

Men en söt liten trevlig läsning. Lättläst. Det tog mig inte enormt lång tid att läsa den här. Men jag gillar det. Speciellt när det inte är någon allt för invecklad story, som exempelvis TMI eller Sagan om ringen där längden på boken oftast är nödvändig. Vill man ha något lätt att läsa tycker jag helt klart att detta är ett möjligt alternativ.
