Battle for the cowl utspelar sig efter händelserna i Final Crisis av Grant Morrison och är ett bra komplement till den berättelsen. Batman är alltså officiellt sett "död" och den här boken handlar om vad som händer med/i Gotham när Batman inte längre finns. Fokus ligger även på hur "the family" går vidare efter det här som heroes or vigilanties or whatever you see them as. Vem ska ta på sig rollen som Batman? 

Det känns som ett bra komplement till serien, nu vet jag ännu inte hur de har gått vidare med handlingen från Final Crisis till Batman and Robin vol.1, så det är svårt att säga hur bra komplement det här är. Dock tror jag inte att Morrison har med något liknande i Batman and Robin. Dessutom tycker jag att de får med en intressant bild av hur Gotham och dessa karaktärer förändras och påverkas av Batman's död. Vilket gör att det är värt att läsa boken för berättelsen skull och inte bara för att den är ett komplement till Morrisons serie. 

Jag ser nu verkligen fram emot att läsa Batman and Robin. Har ju hört väldigt mycket positivt om den delen av Morrisons Batman run. Först ska jag bara ta reda på när Damian kom "tillbaka" för vad jog kommer ihåg så sjönk han med ett fartyg(ubåt?) som exploderade i Batman and Son. Högst oklart vad som hände där! Hoppas dock att vi kommer att få lära känna både Grayson och Damian bättre!
